Your computer generally is slow. The less the fps, the slower the sound will become. Also i think that ATI "card" doesn't support some features required by Dolphin.
Still amazes me how you managed to play that far .
Choppy sound = lack of processing power (haven´t you O.C.ed your CPU already, or is that you don´t know how to do that?).
And there should be any option that you can change to correct the glitch (tried with DX9, although it´s deprecated?).

There's nothing he can do, his (i think) notebook is too slow. He's using a budget low end line AMD processor. AFAIK you can't even check their temps, let alone overclocking.

So, he has a notebook, eh?
I usually see those kind of processors on laptops, never saw them on pcs but i think my dad actually has one of them. Needless to say, i don't remember Dolphin even booting a game.
Yes, I have a notebook. So I'm pretty much screwed? Eh. Will Super Paper Mario run well? I am currently having that zipped so it can transfer to this computer. Both games ran well on the old one (also an HP laptop) although there were still sound glitches and partners in TTYD looked bad.
I sadly have to tell you that you aren't really likely to play any games on this computer. It's just too slow. If your old HP was faster well, depends on how old that thing was but please don't expect to run anything on a cheap notebook.
Thousand Year Door runs well aside from the glitches I mentioned though. There's the occasional freeze, but the game is still playable.
Your last appeal will be trying with a very old revision... I suggest trying Dolphin r6515 or Dolphin r4598
He should try Dolphin 3.0 and some r7XXX revisions first before using such old stuff as r6XXX and beyond
