Dat stretching. Is it Japan only? What's the model? (Or a link would be appreciated too)
Diamondcrysta RDT234WX(with Remote control)
I bought it on http://used.dospara.co.jp/ instead of amazon
Unfortunately , it's Japan only
It's time for another episode of AnyOldName3 needs to choose a laptop! In this installment, his dad is no longer in a position where he has one provided by his employer, and he needs one soon. The dad has a budget of approximately £1000, and has specified that he'd prefer a convertible thing (e.g. MS Surface with a keyboard) to a traditional laptop, although this might well not be the case - he might well get one and then decide that it's awful and hate it forever. The machine will mostly be used for office applications and web browsing, with close to zero usage in gaming or emulation, but long battery life and portability are very important. As before, I have very little knowledge of what's available, so need to enlist the help of Dolphin Emulator Forums.
Just buy a Baytrail IPS tablet that run free "Windows 8.1 with Bing" + Bluetooth keyboard that has the same size as tablet + a micro USB hub
The most popular Baytrail chip is the quad core Atom Z3735F . Unlike the name Atom , it runs windows 8.1 smoothly . Also , make sure you choose 2GB RAM or higher
Total cost will be 200~300$ I think
I need a new laptop for school next year, my budget is around 1000€.

I've been looking at a Lenovo Y50-70 (newer version with the 960m), but I'd like to hear some of your suggestions.

I might be able to go 100-200€ over budget, but I'm not sure.
what are you looking for? gaming capable laptop? how long does it need to survive games?

It does not have to run games greatly, but it needs to be able to run GTA V and CS:GO/TF2 at least.
1000 bucks seems like a huge budget then. i thought dell's 17" laptops with dedicated gfx chip was like 800ish? (intel core i5)

Oh yeah, I forgot. No Acer, HP, or Dell. I've very bad experience with those brands so I'd rather not buy them again.
As usual , I recommend customizable gaming laptop
Why ? Bottom of the case is removable . It's quite easy to reapply thermal compound
If i remember correctly , You're german , right ?
