Well it's cheap, high rating and supports SLI, what more do I need? When I last posted I was getting berated for wanting to get a different board and an i7 4770K which would have cost more. Right now I would only have to pay $400 minus shipping for decent hardware to "fix" my system. It's better than what I have now, I'll be able to play Dolphin and PCSX2 with decent performance. At the moment with this crappy G43Twins-FullHD motherboard and Core2Duo E7500 I get poor performance plus I am dealing with system instability and crashes with my current hardware I've been using since my old i7 board bit the dust.
There are far cheaper ATX form factor mainboards and I doubt you can actually get another card onto a micro ATX board.
Well if it couldn't fit more than one card I doubt it would support SLI. How highly rated and reliable are these cheaper larger boards? It's a lot better than what I am currently using, I'll wait to see what NV has to say before making a decision. As it stands $400 for a decent board and Haswell is not bad and might leave me with enough cash to get a GTX 760. Size doesn't really matter so long as it supports the features that are advertised and the features that I need. The onboard audio is good enough and I don't have anything that would require more expansion slots.

The Z87 G45 costs the same and is ATX. Get that instead (or no MSI board at all since they have low Quality control, can't really confirm that though)
It needs to be reliable and have a low chance of failure i.e. the higher the rating the better, I don't want to end up with a board that has been reported to be DOA or fail several times. I don't need to purchase more hardware that suddenly fails a few months to a year or two down the road, I can't afford to keep replacing hardware. Both Asus boards I bought failed after a while and apparently newer Asus boards are no better, a lot of Newegg reviews reported failure after brief usage with some Asus boards and several Asus boards that were DOA.
I said I can't confirm it, I'm using a MSI Z87 G45 myself. Every Z87 Board supports SLI and can be advertised as such. It's just a question of space, which a Micro ATX board sure does not have.
To be entirely honest, that board you posted is overpriced as fuck. Just get the Z87 G45, it will serve your needs very well.

I agree with anti-ultimate. Though I've spent very little time reading motherboards reviews over the last 2 years so I have less to say about them than cpus or graphics cards.
It has space for two cards although not much. Airflow might be a bit of an issue with the pci-e x16 slots spaced so close together. And you can forget about having other expansion cards on a board that size if you're going for SLI.
Why do you need 2 x 3TB HDDs? How much porn can one man possibly have?

Behind it are 4 asus boards and an MSI. You will notice the number of reported DOAs are very similar on most boards from any of the major motherboard manufacturers. I've had good luck with astrock boards personally but biostar is a good brand. A coworker recently built his first computer with my help using this board which I picked out for him:

Can't complain. Good UEFI, features, price, not DOA, drivers all seem to work and are stable, etc. I despise Johnathan Wendel but it's a good board at a good price so I don't mind so much that his name is attached to it as a marketing promotion.
I am going to get two 3TB HDD's because I have a crap load of files and like to archive files so I don't have to re-download them. I have around a hundred or more games besides what I have on Steam, have 48 games queued on my wishlist I eventually plan on getting, game files and images for emulation, downloaded Youtube videos and
, space for backups.
Still 6TB!
I have almost 300 games on steam, a big collection of personal images, videos, roms, etc. and I'm only just now closing in on 1.5TB.
Also large collections of pronz, pirated TV shows, and pirated movies
Anyways what are your new thoughts on motherboard selection?
I have two 2TB drives. My Windows drive has 467 GB left and my secondary drive has 944 GB left. I have a 2.5" 320GB drive in an external enclosure with little space left on it. I'm going to need more as I purchase more games, download more videos, files, make backups etc.. I may transfer the files on my Windows install to a fresh Windows install on the new drives when I get them. Then I'll use on or both the 2TB drives I have now for backups and use the 3TB drives for games.
