in 2014 NVidia will release the tegra 5 and its gpu is much more powerful than the ps3 and its called project logan. They showed battlefield 3 running on it. Anyways it will have open gl 4.4, open gl 4.3, opengl es 3.0 and directx11 and I was wondering this might be the first android device the might run dolphin full speed and if not NVidia also has plans in 2015 to release tegra 6 project parker which will use finfet and their Denver cpu and Maxwell gpu which that will probably run dolphin full speed so developers I want to know what do you think of upcoming android hardware.
Just remember that ARM JIT needs improvement too, only a powerful mobile GPU won't be sufficient...
hm, snapdragon 800 cpu are quite amazing.
Sounds impressive. I'd probably buy it... if I had the money.

Maybe an octa core phone like the new galaxy note 3 could run the dolphin emulator at at least ok speed I wish there was a video of the galaxy note 3 or the upcoming nexus 5 (when it comes out) running the dolphin emu
Dolphin is a dual core app (tri core if you enable DSP LLE), so, I think the same applies to the Android version aswell. Said that, the new Samsungs won't give too much speedup...
And, since the max speed is 1.9 GHz (octa-core), it will be difficult to get a reasonable speed.
You´ll get more chances with the 2.3 GHz quad-core.
From what I heard, the tegra device are far better then snapdragon one

so even if there's 0.4 ghz difference between them it should perform better.

CPU differences aside it will probably be down to who supplies the best drivers. The best hardware in the world will be useless without good drivers.
I'm pretty sure the best driver is the one on the tegra device

nvidia developper are also more reactive then the crappy one at qualcomms
