Normally when I grab a new revision I just extract over my current dir. This time around it wiped all my settings? Not a huge deal but all of my game images are gone. Is there a place to grab all those images?

just found this
https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-he...ner-images
I guess I could use an ftp grabber to get them all.
The latest releases use the Global User Directory. Everything has been moved.

This thread explains it. - https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-gr...ory-branch
Ah, thx MaJoR !!!
I told them that would happen.
Can we please automatically copy the contents of the local directory into the global directory if the global directory doesn't exist? And show a popup message that we have done so?
yeah, though would be a good idea especially for 4.0. Or at most a one time pop up.
I dont think any new features are going into 4.0 but if you want to add a feature request for Dolphin, make sure you add it on the official thread here:

Nobody reads this thread, it's full of people who have no idea how programming or technical stuff work.

If you want a feature, the best is to implement it yourself. We can't do any change to translatable strings and/or add any translatable string before 4.0, so have fun displaying a message or anything like that.

If people upgrade Dolphin by copying the executable into an old Dolphin folder, that's a use case we don't support (and we never wanted to support). It means Sys/ files aren't upgraded and old User/ global files weren't upgraded either.
It can be disabled. https://wiki.dolphin-emu.org/index.php?t..._Directory

In this case, even copying the entire folder won't work.
