Hi,

I read this page:
https://dolphin-emu.org/docs/faq/#hardwa...quirements
"Why do I need such a powerful computer to emulate an old console?"

"A PC runs an operating system in order to be able to run several programs at the same time. A GameCube or a Wii does not have the same requirement and can directly execute things on the hardware without going through the operating system, making a lot of communication between chips faster."

I think Wii emulation will be faster if you make "Dolphin OS". "Dolphin OS" is an OS to emulate Wii. If so, Dolphin doesn't have to run through OS, so Dolphin will run faster.

How about this idea?

Thank you.

To answer your question: If you write a Linux distribution, add stuff dolphin needs, add drivers, and write a window manager exclusive for dolphin, you aren't really likely to get more performance than you would get on a normal distribution like Ubuntu. I wouldn't say it's impossible but it's harder than trying to swim through the pacific on one day.
