OpenGL is okay. But when D3D9 is dropped, the options of Windows XP users will be very limited. They will not have an alternative when a game has issues with OpenGL.
Just like Linux and OSX users then.

If the game you're trying to play has d3d11 exclusive issues, which many do, then yes.

Yup. And that's one of the main reasons why the windows builds are widely considered better. D3d9 and d3d11 can be used to fix a lot of issues.
I was expecting more "positive" tips in the thread, anyway thank you all for the replies.
