I have a super old crappy PC:
OS:Windows XP SP3 32 (x86)
CPU: 1.6ghz (dual core: E2140)
GPU: GeForce 7300 LE (256mb 64bit)
RAM: 2Gb DDR2 667Mhz
HDD: 160Gb SATA2 7200RPM 8mb cache
Yes I know, this is the shi**** PC ever, but with this, could I run Zelda Twilight Princess? With everything disabled of course. And, if it does, wich version: USA or Euro? Wii or GC?

Thanks

Which version? The one you actualy own... well, it depends on your point of view. GC-Version is a bit slower, but Wii-Version got more glitches... it is nearly impossible to control the falcon which you need to get items, and you will hards manage to use any other tool for which you have to look around to aim. (because everything is mirror-reversed; no waranty that this still appears, I only played the Wii-Version up to revision 34XX).
Anyway, if you have, dump the GC-Version, if you have the Wii-Version, dump that game...

At last you will be able to play games, 1,6 Ghz Dual-Core is not that bad. You will get low frames in most games (mostly TP, in the forest, you will have to play in badest slow-motion, even people with good PCs have to do that; is a known issue), but it should be at least playable. Just try it out.

no, because core 2 duo is conroe. There are pentium d which are dual core but fail at everything.

Thanks for the explanation ;D
I don't know if this is the right place to ask, but i've got only 9~19 fps with no sound, i'm usig the US Game Cube version, is there anything that i could turn off or enable to improve performance? and what about the sound?

Thanks

PS.: I'm realy sorry if this is the wrong place to ask...

just wondering, first my specs :

Core : AMD Phenom II X4 945 ~3.0Ghz
RAM : 8 Gb
Graphic : NVidia Ge Force GTX 285 1Gb
RAM : 8Gb DDR 3
OS : Windows 7 Home Premium x64

with this, i can run "simple" games perfectly (100% speed)..
but then i play HM:Animal Parade.. i got only 70% Speed..
one piece unlimited adventure.. 50% speed..
FF Crystal Bearer.. 60% speed..
i waqnt to run these game perfectly,, at least with 90% speed.. then i think i'll upgrade my com..
upgrade the processor to AMD Phenom II x6,, RAM to 16Gb.. but not with the VGA card,, that's too much money..
the question is,, will i run perfectly or get more the speed??
or i must upgrade the VGA ??
which u recommend? upgrade the processor n RAM, or just the VGA ??
Upgrading to a phenom II X6 will not improve performance at all. Dolphin only uses 2 cores by default so upgrading from a quad core to a hexacore cpu will not make any difference to dolphin.

Upgrading RAM won't help either. Dolphin only needs 300-600MB of memory depending on the game. With windows 7 you only need 2GB of ram or more. Having more than that won't improve performance because dolphin won't use the extra memory availible, it doesn't need it.

Your graphics card is already well beyond the needs of dolphin, upgrading it won't make any difference either.

The best upgrade you could make to your system is to buy an P67 or Z68 motherboard and a i5 2500K cpu. That would improve performance in dolphin considerably.

You have not given us your settings (screenshots of them) or told us which version of dolphin you are using. Without that information we can't tell you whether your hardware is the problem or not.

You can also use game booster or game gain which will help considerently and will improve your game speed very well but keep in mind it may also only increase by about 10% but it will make a difference.

No it won't
@farmergonegamer - Like ED2 said, GameBooster won't really do anything for Dolphin, just like download boosters won't really make you download things faster. Additionally, the post you're responding to is over 4 years old Sad Not to mention this thread is severely outdated.
