Thanks to God and to MaJoR that finally there´s an official thread for this game...

Don't thank God, he didn't have anything to do with it.
Thanks for bringing it up; we miss games sometimes. There are over 3000 so... yea.

(Uff, seems that I finally made a true contribution to the forums
).
Do you mind to specify the thread title? It´s because there are two games called Super Mario Bros. 2 (the japanese version, 1986; and the USA version, 1988).
And yes, the japanese one is also for NES.

It's following the same naming preference as the wiki: NA > EU > JP. In NA names the Japanese Super Mario Bros. 2 is "The Lost Levels" and the NA one is just "Super Mario Bros. 2". That works fine here.
Trust me, that naming convention is very necessary.

Actually these are both different games.
The second SMB released in Japan, renamed "The Lost Levels" in SNES compilation, has nothing to do with SMB2. It's the sequel of the first SMB. SMB2 for the rest of the world is an adaptation of an old japanese game. This game was released on NES too but with different characters.
Yume Koujou Doki Doki Panic (the original SMB2):

Lord Vader: I know they are different games. I was just explaining why the US Super Mario Brothers 2 is called "Super Mario Brothers 2" while the Japanese game is called "The Lost Levels" by the wiki. The fact they are different games only increases the need to keep it clear.

You can´t just come here and ask for a fix. You need to specify: options used when playing the game, which build and provide a screenshot of the bug if necessary.
