Hello,
I just tried to play Monster Hunter Tri on Dolphin and the game just slow ( 70%-60% emulation speed ) after playing about 5 minutes. Befores these 5 minutes the games runs perfectly 100%.
My hardware is not bad at all so i don't think the problem comes from there :
- CPU : I5 2400 3.10 GHz
- GPU : GTX 550TI
- RAM : 16 Gb
- OS : Windows 7 x64
I tried to run it on Dolphin 3.0/3.5/3.5-2259 ( all in x64 ) and I tried a lot of configurations ( even in slowest I run 100% during 5 minutes ).
Anyone has an idea ?

I would be glad to thank him
(Sorry for my English it's not my language)
The i5 2xxx series, although they can handle some kind of demanding games, it´s still weak for the game you want to play.
If you want more speed, you´ll have to buy a more advanced i5 (3xxx or higher) or simply overclock your processor, if it´s still working with the stock clock speed.
Also, can you post your settings (screenshots, please)? (ONLY from 3.5 or higher. Older revisions like 3.0 are no longer supported here).
Thanks for your reply, there is my Dolphin 3.5 config
It's weird because it begin to lag after some time playing, moreover I found on the wiki that it run perfectly with I5-2450 and runs ( difficultly ) with Core 2 Duo that's why I asked there.
Anyway, thanks for helping !
Some tips:
Use DX9! Although that is deprecated, there are some minor issues fixed and a very good speed boost with DX9.
Why are you using OpenMP? That make games to run slow.
Try enabling "Disable Alpha Destination".
Good luck.

No it doesn't, if anything it speeds them up
You should be able to run the game a lot better with that setup OP. What are your CPU temperatures and CPU clock when you're emulating the game?

It depends on the game.
Sometimes it provides a small speedup, other times it doesn't do anything and sometimes it can even slow down the game.
I knew on some games it did nothing, but I didn't know it could slow things down

That's pretty random advice. Checking and unchecking this option shouldn't significantly affect the game's speed.
I was thinking like Garteal, I should be able to run the game normally.
There is a CPU-Z and a speedfan screenshot in game. During the 5 first minutes my clock speed was 3.2GHz ( normal ) and the temperature was between 60-70 °C ( 140-160 °F ). Then the clock speed felt to 1.3GHz and I don't know why, the temperature didn't changed.
Thanks you all for the help
EDIT : Sorry I'm stupid, it's my CPU overclock coeff wich decrease to X16 ( in case of x32 ) that's why it slows but it shouldn't decrease while i'm using it, Dolphin don't keep my processor in activity ? Maybe I should lock the overclock coeff but I'm not sure about that.
Does it go to 1.6GHz for a second and back to 3.1GHz or does it stay at 1.6GHz?
If so, that's strange. Dolphin should keep your CPU active enough, so it shouldn't drop back into idle mode.
In this case, try disabling Intel Speedstep in your BIOS which drops the CPU clock when it's not in use. I'd recommend leaving it on, but turn it off and see if it fixes the problem.
Also, use RealTemp or CoreTemp for monitoring your CPU temperatures.
Your CPU temperatures are a bit on the high side too. You might want to look into getting a better cooler for your CPU.
