I think you need a Radeon 7750 low profile video card, the most powerful video card without external power supply.
make sure the low profile version so that you can put it in you itx case.
Thanks for taking the time to pull those links, i like all of those cases so anything like that would be sufficient, i'm going to try and come up with a suitable build will post what i come up with.
Intel Core i5-4440 3.10GHz (Haswell) Socket LGA1150
Sapphire HD 7750 Low Profile Edition 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express
MSI H87M-G43 Intel H87 (Socket 1150) DDR3 Micro ATX Motherboard
Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel
This is what i've come up with so far based on whats been said in this thread.. i haven't gone all out on the CPU. I've also dropped the Z87 chipset for the H87 which only drops overclocking in favour of saving a few quid. Is the GPU sufficient?
The GPU is more than sufficient for 4x IR in most cases, so don't worry about it. If you have any particular requirements (like AA) let us know too.
Everything else looks good, although I myself don't build computers. With HTPCs, just be sure to double check your components in comparison to the actual space you have in the.case before you buy anything.
Silverstone sugo chassis. Just do it.

I've always used a Mac Mini for my HTPC needs it sits under my tv, never makes a sound and served well.. but now i want to play games and more specifically i want to be able to run Dolphin well.
I've looked around for Mac Mini alternatives and there is nothing, so i guess my next option is a HTPC type setup.. i'm reaching out to those of you that maybe have a dedicated emulator box or htpc unit rather than using laptops or PCs... what do you use? any recommendations.
I'd love something thats silent, slim/lightweight that looks at home in a TV cabinet, is safe to leave running and capable of housing hardware thats good enough to run Dolphin.
If you're rich, you could always try something like a Falcon Tiki.

A Fragbox or Shuttle SFF would be the more modestly priced alternative if you don't require a marble base.

Not rich unfortunately

I'm hoping to stay within a £500 budget.

haven't changed much really, added a Micro ATX case.. just need a decent power supply, what sort of wattage? and something thats silent enough. or a different case/power combo.
May I ask where you're buying it from. If you're in the UK, and you aren't already, Scan is often considerably cheaper than other places, and has the best customer service I've ever had to use.
