90 not 45.
In real life it's around 130, so you can get upwind by tacking multiple times. And you would be going the fastest when you're perpendicular to the wind.

I like the new textures and HUD. At times the bloom looks OK, but it's overbearing mostly.
I disagree. Honestly the only issue I have with WWHD is that it

A.) Only has either no AA or Post process AA
B.) Uses low quality SSAO

Because other than that it looks amazing. (And it is 1080p Native from what I recall)

At least they put the effort into actually upgrading the game unlike many HD ports

The Bloom is actually very fitting to the game. You are out in the broad daylight, the bloom accentuates this to help give the feeling of sunlight.

At least it's not blown out to retarded proportions like some stuff.

The only advantage Dolphin has is higher resolution/better AA. And that's about it.

It doesn't have true widescreen, it doesn't have quick sailing, it doesn't load in the entire world at once (Thus quick sailing), some effects can't be emulated in higher resolution like the fire effects, you need a good PC in order to get good accurate sound, etc.

That, and being able to play with almost any controller you want.
Sigh, I have to agree the textures look gorgeous. If only there was an option to reduce the bloom.
Check out my classic Wind Waker Texture pack I'm working on

No bloom, classic play style with updated textures so they look good on a 1080p screen.

That doesn't really fix SSAA in dolphin. You're just using nvidia's SSAA instead.

You've got to be kidding me. The bloom is so blown out of proportion it's ridiculous. Natural sunlight doesn't produce that effect. At least not on this planet. Even with a super bright local star on some distant planet this wouldn't happen. You would need to have some really bizarre atmospheric composition to get light to behave that way.

And what about dark indoor areas having crazy amounts of bloom? You certainly can't use sunlight to justify that.
I'm willing to give the bloom a chance, it may look much better once you adjust to seeing it in motion. In some screenshots it's a nuisance, but in others it looks much better: http://i.imgur.com/vNtNDM3.png

At the very least, the real time shadows add a whole lot of atmosphere.
Dolphin can also make use of real Bloom

Call me crazy but based on those screen shots I actually prefer the GC version of WW. It's looks are more sharp, like like a comic book scene which is what Nintendo was aiming for. I think the WiiU version is way too soft around the edges and the sky is too airy and almost realistic looking which for me does not work.

Sure the gameplay improvements are a good reason to get ZWW but for me on graphics alone I'll stick with the GC version. I'm not a can of the cel shading at all but if I had to pick a version I'm going with the GC one as my favourite.
