Quote:Have you actually tried Xenoblade on recent hardware?
Nah , base on i5 3570k user's opinion
Quote:With 4.3Ghz 2500K I can run Xenoblade at 150%-200% speed all the time
Doubt !
With Dolphin 3.5 and HLE then may be....

And what makes you think it isn't?
It is.

Honestly the two of them aren't even disagreeing. Admin is saying you need a high end ivy or haswell cpu to run it on the latest build with LLE. Cluthz is saying that you don't need as fast of a cpu run it on 3.5 with HLE. The two aren't mutually exclusive.
I was just saying admin was saying it isn't possible, then went on to say it was
It`s just an old Quadcore, just 2 Core 2 duo glued together, no very impressive...

Consider a 4.2Ghz Ivy would probably beat an 6 GHz Arrandale

*Look at Zelda WW Benchmark*
I5 3570k @ 4.2GHz is not twice as fast as i5 480M . You need i5 3570k @ 5.0GHz to beat i5 480M @ 6GHz (i5 3570k @ 4.8GHz = 2times performance as i5 480M @2.93GHz) . This make sense since it's dual core vs quad core . If my cpu was a quad core , there would be not much difference

There is almost zero difference between Ivy Bridge and Sandy Bridge although I thought Ivy Bridge was 5->10% faster in Dolphin
On the other hand , Haswell is much faster than both Ivy and Sandy by huge margin
And Sandy Bridge is slightly faster than Nehalem
Looking at these tables makes me thing that there are several variables not counted for.
The i5-650@3.3GHz is 20% slower than a i5-750@3.2GHz?

Anyways, the 3.2Ghz harpertown is indeed too slow for xenoblade.

@NV, thanks for yet another in-depth explanation!

Quad core cpus do in fact run dolphin faster due to the ability to run background processes on separate cores. Typically 10-20% faster. Add to that normal +/- 5% variation from this benchmark and you have your performance delta.

Plus the occasional game that runs properly with threaded DSP can get you even better gains on speed.
