thanks natural. Tried using both HLE and LLE - no difference.
Thanks Anti - although a little confused. So the i7 will struggle with LLE, but should be OK with running games on HLE? Because still having problems on HLE.

You've chosen F-Zero that isn't the easiest game to emulate

.
I guess your system is just a bit weak for this very demanding game. Above all with recent builds.
Btw the build you're using is old. You'll find latest ones

Exactly, Bloomfield is just too slow for LLE in the demanding games.
I have figured out the problem. Even after setting dolphin to use the sound emulator, the sound is automatically switching to the recompiler which is VERY slow. As soon as I renamed DSP_rom.bin to DSP_room.bin, I get HUUUUUGE speedups in my game on latest dolphin versions. This is a huge bug which explains the problems I am having with the latest dolphin versions. It's not my Intel 4000 or i5, but the recompiler's fault. I think it's a good idea to set it as default to allow people to try it out, but it needs the option to change it.
Is LLE being forced in the .ini for some reason maybe?
Actually, the best way at the moment is setting it for the specific game, deleting the recompiler messes stuff up. But at least I found the cause of the stuttering.
There was a bug that changed the audio setting fixed in the newest dev builds.
OK. Returning to this. Thanks for your help chaps, but none of the above seemed to work. Newer builds didn't work as well, no matter which settings I changed, still stuttering audio. I see on youtube, some chap got F-Zero working with i7 920 with no probs. So still stumped...
Only thing is - I have an Audioblaster x-fi pci card for my audio. Would this make any difference?
Sooo wanting Dolphin to work, but at present, the lemon of my emulator collection.
Did you ever try latest and 3.5?
