Is that exclusive to NVIDIA GPU's or something? I don't get that list.
Quote: I don't think anybody knows for sure what it does exactly.Well, go investigate, you're the AA guy here.

I "investigate" things when they're interesting. This is not interesting. This is pointless and stupid. It probably has something to do with the coverage samples but I don't really know. There is no way to find out without contacting nvidia.

D'oh. Missed the second page.
I assume the basic sample number is the worst, with quality level 1 being slightly better and the other quality levels ascending from there.

Thank you for the information. I'm using an AMD card. I get a better result with 4 samples than 4 samples quality level 16.

I wouldn´t use AA at all. At least on high end amd cards.
Some games has problems with it. Punch out goes to below 30fps (on fights) with any kind of AA. Other games has some levels that will get you under 30fps (NSMB) among others.
Dont know if nvidia cards can handle dolphin AA better.

You have a very fast AMD card which means that either you're trying to use SSAA and a high IR at the same time or you haven't fixed the throttling issue by changing your driver settings. Both of which are normal. You haven't told us anything about your settings so I can't be sure which one. AMD cards don't have any issues with AA. Neither do nvidia cards.

Well, AA works great on most games, but not great on others (in my tests)
Im not having throtling issues atm. All is working fine.
As I said, on games like punch out, with any level of AA, gpu usage goes to 100% (in fight) and fps goes to below 30. From this, I understand that gpu can handle the AA in some games or something is locking the gpu at 100%. This happens with any level of AA, they just lower down the fps at the same level. Only in specific games, on most games I see no fps difference from using AA.
I even tried IR a 1x on this games, and the result, is the same.
With no AA, 60 solid fps at 1x up to 4x IR.
As dolphin states on AA settings, "it can cause problems on some games", I though that this was normal.

You still haven't told me your settings. For example which video backend are you using?
