Windows gamepad setup shows 4 "Wii U Pro" controller slots when the adapter is on, I assume connecting more is as simple and straightforward as pressing a button on each additional controller. I've only used two controllers at once, the Pro in Xinput with a classic controller pro connected via Mayflash's other adapter, and it works seamlessly for multiplayer games.
The build quality is good enough. It's very lightweight and minimal, but it feels sturdy enough that you could drop it or step on it without it breaking. It's small and out of the way. I'm not worried about the build much.
