Wolf's Rain was pretty good, sad, and trippy (the ending is a mind-blower). I enjoyed it, especially before sparkle dogs (google it) and furries started claiming wolves and wolf-people as their own.

Some old animes that deserve mentioning that I haven't mentioned yet:

Zoids: The Chaotic Century
Detective Conan
Read or Die (the movie + series)
Pokemon (currently trying to watch all of the episodes + movies with my sister. Just finished 308)
Rorouni Kenshin
I saw an episode or two of Detective Conan at my friends and it seemed pretty interesting. But after I saw how much episodes it has, I gave up lol.

Lol, enjoying it? Pokemon is so basic and predictable. :P

I somehow randomly stumbled upon the soundtrack of this and got quite interested.
Since you recommend it, I have no choice but to give it a go. :P

Thanks for the recommendations Sho'numi, I'll probably give em all (except Pokemon) a try.

If you think that then i highly recommend the comic, Pokemon Special. The writers basically took everything great about the game and adapted from it a set a very interesting adventures, a must read for any pokemon enthusiast.

Lol, you're underrating it my friend. No one in their right mind (except mindless children playing the games) watches that stuff for serious anime entertainment with plot, action, and character interaction. Pfft. My sister and I have so much fun watching it because we mock it so much and insert our own jokes all the time. Sometimes we've spent more time ROLFing (literally, we fell out of our chairs a couple of times) at our jokes than we did watching the show. Although we do this with just about anything we can watch (Sci-Fi and Lifetime channel movies) Pokemon just has so much ripe potential. Though I guess you can't do this sort of thing by yourself; you basically need a twin or something (we're not twins, but we're practically on the same wavelength). Plus, Pokemon has some of the craziest GIF material I've ever seen.
