What do you mean by that?

I don't really have time to explain all of that right now. It's a lot of material to cover. Maybe later.

GTX 650 TI Boost or GTX 660. That will run you somewhere between $160-210 depending on your choice. Stick to EVGA if you can.

Basically when I first got my laptop and plugged in the HDMI into the TV, the colours were hugely over contrasted and even though everything was set right, the display had a big gap around the edge. Had to install AMD's CCC software just to try and sort everything out. Kind of put me off AMD GPU's.
You don't need to I'' head onto google sometime and read up on it.
That sounds good, reasonable price too. It's something I don't need right away so I can watch out for a good deal on one.
Thanks!
That's a pretty normal problem to have when connecting a computer to an HDTV, it's not AMD-specific at all. It's due to stupid decisions TV manufacturers have made – the big gap around the edge is due to technical decisions made in the 1930s (read
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Overscan for more info), and the color issues are due to TV manufacturers invariably and intentionally calibrating their screens badly to make their TVs look "better" in stores. OS X has brain-dead-simple overscan configuration and color calibration, so it's not much of a problem for me, and on Windows your GPU drivers should have options for it.
Overscan issues are a lot more common on AMD gpus from what I've read. Haven't had any color issues on my HDTV with my GT 640 except when I try to do YCbCr output which has never seemed to work right on any computer I've ever owned. I've never had to tweak color settings in my drivers with any monitor or HDTV in windows.
I assume he's referring to saturation and not contrast when he's talking about color issues. I also assume he's already calibrated his display (at least I sure hope so) and isn't running stock settings which are indeed garbage. If not he should calibrate the display instead of the drivers.

Yeah when I did searches it seemed a lot of people with AMD gpus had similar issues. Also a lot said should have gone with NVIDIA.
I had to alter the resolution to 1829x1036 to get it to fit. And bring the contrast waaay down. TV and ps3 look fine. It's not the tv.
So my case has the power supply at the bottom with an air intake from under the case, however the PC is going to sit on the carpet, would it be best to turn it upside down and have it draw internal air?
I doubt it would matter. But for the sake of science, pics?
It looks like the intake vent is directly underneath the PSU? Wouldn't the PSU block most of the airflow from that?
Well I figured the air intake vent was solely for the PSU anyway. The psu does block 90% of it, but I don't really see how much air is going to get up in there anyway with he carpet.
