I run Monster Hunter Tri in 3x Internal Resolution I always have 30fps shown in the left Corner but I have so many Slowdowns even if it stays at 30fps.
In the town I have those slowdowns all the time and outside they occure quite often too.
My System is:
Intel Core i5 2500k
AMD HD 5870
4gb ram
I run the Version 3.5-367
I've been playing through the game too and I think I know what you mean even though I get constant 30 fps too. The thing is that in the town by default your character seems to run slower, it's not en emulation problem or something with your hardware, it's just how the game was programmed, unless you're talking about more noticeable slowdowns? In that case please specify
It is not like its always the same "slow speed" it is sometimes pretty slow feels like 15-20 fps then again it is full speed 30fps but regardless how it feels it is always 30fps.
But even if i turn the Internal Resolution to x1 it still gets those slowdowns and stays at 30fps all the time.
I tried Vsync off and on too.
Hmm.. it's not a hardware problem for sure, maybe try redumping your game?
^ Yeah, 3.5-367 is horribly outdated at this point. The new official Dolphin site has builds past 3.5-1600.
For the actual issue, I don't know what you can do other than try overclocking your CPU/GPU(/RAM?) until it stops being slow.
His GPU can handle 4xIR just fine
CPU botttleneck for sure
Any version newer than 3.5 145 is much slower
Use the stable 3.5 or 3.5 145 on the main site (Dolphin-emu.org) . You have downloaded Dolphin from the unofficial site (Dolphin-emu.com)
3.5 367 is slow , latest 3.5 1xxx are even slower
admin89, what about the new, not-completely-fucking-broken HLE for AXWii that wasn't merged in until 3.5-1154?
Not sure what you mean but MHTri doesn't have any audio issue with old HLE . Therefore , new AX HLE isn't really needed for this game
My laptop can run it full speed most of the time with Dolphin 3.5-145 , I got nearly perfect emulation with it ...
Of course , if he overclocked his CPU in the first place , he wouldn't complain about slowdown (even with latest Dolphin)
Edit : Btw , set Framelimit = 30 instead of auto and tick "Limit by FPS" . This may help you

So I tried the very newest Version now and it runs fine.
3.5 145 didnt work for me aswell.
But thanks for the advise with the Version.
I dont really think my CPU is the reason really (in this game) because it is under 50% usage all the time.
