Hmm I don't really know what the equivalent would be, you may have more luck asking one of the admins or people with more experience about that

(This doesn't factor in GPU differences, but whatever.)Yeah the intel side is probably more ideal, but for the games I',m playing, I think that the FX 6300 will be just fine. I can tweak things as well ~ I'll do the WW Benchmark as soon as the computer is up and running.

So, yeah, if you can afford a 2500K, 3570K, or 4670K along with whatever motherboard they require, that'd be much better than the FX 6300.

Since these two games and Wind Waker are my priority, this makes me feel a ton better. I won't be going 9xAA so I should be fine with that.

IR, AA, AF, etc. have zero impact on cpu load. You will not gain any additional performance by lowering your resolution so long as your gpu is good enough.

Yes other forum users use it. It's slower than a modern i3 and similar to a phenom II X4/X6 in performance.

Star fox adventure will run poorly for sure.

Depends on the architecture.
I would say roughly:
Haswell 2GHz
Sandy/Ivy Bridge/Nehalem/Westmere 2.4GHz
Core 2 Quad 3.6GHz

Keep in mind the FX 6300 is going to be significantly slower in dolphin than an FX 8350.
pauldacheez Wrote:(This doesn't factor in GPU differences, but whatever.)
Unless you're using 5+ year old Intel IGP the GPU won't bottleneck WW at 1x IR. WW is very light on the GPU.
Edit: Looks like we did have someone participate in the WW benchmark with that cpu: https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-the-legend-of-zelda-the-wind-waker-cpu-benchmark?pid=283867#pid283867

Skyward Sword is another issue...probably have to cross that bridge when I get there.

I'm posting my benchmark in a minute, want a link to it when it's up? EDIT: Here it is! https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-the-legend-of-zelda-the-wind-waker-cpu-benchmark?pid=285191#pid285191
