Hi guys, i'm buying a laptop and i have a question. How much is the diference from the i7QM and the i7ULV? how much FPS would differ between one and the other? For example the i7-3632QM in dolphin is how much better then the i7-3537U? Can it play games like Mario Galaxy, Kirby epic yarn, Fatal Frame, Skyworld Sword?
I'd want to know the price difference before I told you Tongue
I'd go for none but if I was forced to choose I'd go for the first one Big Grin .

You should also list GPUs provided with each ones.

And the games you listed are likely to painfully work with these systems

Hi thanks for the reply. The 2 laptops i'm looking are the same price (800€), but one has the I7-3632QM with hd7670m and the other has the I7-3537U and gt740m. My doubt is since the gt740m is much better than the hd7670m for normal games, is there much a difference in dolphin between the QM and U (since i read somewhere that the laptops cpu aren't very good for dolphin).
i7-3537U: http://ark.intel.com/products/72054/
i7-3632QM: http://ark.intel.com/products/71458/

Main differences are that the U is an ultra-low-voltage dual-core CPU intended for ultrabooks, while the QM is a quad-core CPU (with slightly higher clockspeeds and more L3 cache) for more beefy laptops.

I know the differençes. My question was if the diferences were noticeable or not in dolphin, such as FPS diference between them, and if the iQM was much better or slight, not noticeable better while playing.
There'll be a difference of... I dunno, 5-10 fps? The quad-core'll be able to offload any other processes to the two other cores, and it'll get an actual performance boost from LLE on Thread (on dual-cores it actually causes a pretty big slowdown), so, yeah.

Also, if you plan on playing Super Mario Galaxy you're gonna want a beefy desktop instead, preferably one with an i5-3570K at 4.5 GHz. That game has pretty high requirements, it won't run at full speed on either of these laptops you're looking at. v_v
If i were you , i would get i7 4700MQ or i7 4702MQ instead of those 2 CPUs

@ OP:

Listen to him. Wink

and the performance between the two processors will be noticeable in dolphin.
Get the 3632QM. (Unless you could get away with the new Haswell models Wink )
Super Mario Galaxy is playable on the i7-3632QM. It doesn't run at full speed at all time and the background music cuts off with HLE, but it is certainly playable. I've recently finished the game with 120 stars and I feel that the game is still a lot of fun even without the background music, in fact I didn't even notice that there was no background music with HLE until someone mentioned it.

However you should get the new Haswell i7-4700MQ if possible.
