Hi,
So I want to edit something in dolphin then recompile it , so I did update to VS2012 , since I'm a Windows 8 user , I had to get Windows 8 SDK , which keeps on giving me d3dx9.h not found. I got the DX SDK too , and I made sure the lib/include files are leading correctly. And it still didn't work :\
Any file inside Windows 8 SDK works , but files inside DX SDK aren't working (d3dx9 and 11). I really need them.

Thanks!

Using Visual Studio 2012 Ultimate
Platform toolset VS2012-WinXP with DX SDK, revert this (OpenALstream won't compile with memfun), set subsystem to Windows under linker, system.

Thanks , but this still doesn't solve why DX isn't running :\
I'm not a Windows user, so I can't really help much here, but why not try just using VS2010 and following the original instructions? VS2012 isn't entirely necessary, is it?

I got VS2012 as part of Windows 8 Bundle , I'm not gonna buy VS2010! also the VS2010 C++ Express version doesn't support my Windows version.
It is free >.>

Visual Studio? Free? http://www.microsoft.com/visualstudio/eng/buy

regardless. I just remembered why I'm not getting VS2010 , it is because the main SDK (DX SDK) isn't available for Windows 8 (DX9 only)

that is the express version , I know that it is free. Either ways , The DX SDK is the problem , it won't work.

The only thing I need is 1 cpp file to be edited and put into dolphin.
You just don't have your includes set up correctly. Reread that part of the guide, eh?
