I knew about it for a while, but remembered about it recently. Wii games seem to have terrible graphics with OpenGL. Most of the graphics are black. I have only tested with NSMB because I can't think of another game that will show 3D graphics without pressing any buttons. I would like to try with software renderer to see how it is, but that would take forever. If I do waste my time and load it up, I will post the image here too. I assume it should be okay with software renderer though.
God, that took forever. But it is as I thought; everything renders correctly. (except the colors are washed for some reason)
Just curious which build did you use. I just assumed wii games wern't working at all yet.
Hey it not playable but thats the first screenshot ive seen of any wii emulation on android, so congratulations for thinking outside of the box.
I've just tried it in my G2 and I its been 5 min and I've not seen a single frame yet lol.. How long did it take? Did you use a dolphin compressed iso ie a .gcz file or the full uncompressed iso?
It is true that there are no videos/screenshots of Wii emulation, but Wii games have worked for a while and I always knew they did. I guess people just assumed they didn't work. They don't work with JIT, only JITIL which kind of sucks. It is a known issue, I reported it and it was accepted. I had NSMB Wii running at ~2FPS with JITIL. Once Wii games work with JIT they will be a lot faster. BTW, I used a WBFS file.
I don't know how big the WBFS file but the full ISO compressed weith the desktop version of Dolphin comes out at just 370MB :-)
Once I selected JITL and used the game save data from the desktop version I could get to the same position as you, with the same results. However as stated it did take forever especially with the software rendering. Thanks for the heads up anyway it was quite a novelty to see some wii screens on the phone :-)
I made a quick screen recording

Finally a video for Wii on Android

I've never used a compressed ISO, I always convert to WBFS. NSMB Wii in WBFS is ~350 MB

I didn't even know dolphin supported wbfs files, I must start reading release notes its been there since 3.5 lol
Still its well worth compressing your gamecube files with the desktop version, just right click and select compress. Luigis Mansion goes to 169MB and Mario Kart to 400MB for example

I always compress my games. Having a bunch of 1.5GB GameCube and 4.3GB Wii games on an Android isn't very ideal

With 1356 slviewer 0.16 & 0.17 shows continueous error codes whilst quickly flashing on & off the background using the software renderer, previously it just showed a blank black screen.
gctester seems to have suffered in the latest round of updates it's completely broken in both software & opengl renderer modes now, before it showed the falling green blocks and the snake head, now it keeps showing the vram textures from a previously loaded dol maybe the last loaded dol is still partially held in the memory, is the vram & memory emptied before loading a new game or dol?

Which version did it work on last?
Okay so when running the emulator on an HTC one (M7) on 4.4.2 software. The emulator does not run with the OpenGL ES option. It just shows a black screen for an infinite amount of time. It does work, however, on the software renderer option, but at like 2 FPS. Is there an issue with OpenGl ES, the newest build of dolphin, or the HTC one? Is using OpenGL ES just not compatible yet with dolphin?

what video divers does your phone have, you can check from within dolphin by going into the about and opengl

sorry forgot to specify gles3 anyways it may or may not be the version of your drivers, but another thing is what games are you trying to play, I play smash bros melee on my g2 no problem but I tried playing pokemon colosseum and after the Nintendo/company logo it just remains on a black screen, if the game you are trying to play is available in my dumped list i'll give it a go and see if I get same results
