NV: You should have waited 5 minutes. I edited the post as I looked up stuff.

Read it again.
I think they could have easily satisified everybody by using opt-in system ( belive it or not, there were some people who liked their DRM because of the posibility to share digital games).
Just ask the user if he want to share his games, and warn him if he does, he will be subjected to 24 hours online checkins etc..
If user doesn't want it, he doesn't have to use that option.
This look to me more like Microsoft throwing a tantrum, like a kid taking his ball home or something

Worst case scenario:
>PS4, xbone, and WiiU all fail to deliver the same sales as their predecessors
>Everyone switches to PC gaming because it's becoming the "cool platform for grown ups"
>Suddenly every multiplayer PC game is filled with CoD kiddies throwing tantrums all the time
>Singleplayer games are dumbed down even more
>NaturalViolence decides to go out with a bang
>It takes 47 federal marshals to bring him down
>After the horror strong gun control legislation is finally passed
>King George III having waited for this moment all along returns from the grave and recaptures America
>All Americans become civil British gentlemen/ladies
>New world order. The British politely enslave everyone else.
Not bad.
If that's the worse case scenario, then I want it to happen. I'll start making a robotic exoskeleton to keep my king (by the way, what happens to the queen in this scenario?) from falling apart when he moves, being considerably more decomposed than when he was on the throne.
Oh yeah? Well we'll build out own robot king:

That'd be awesome, at least until it because sentient and stopped obeying our commands.
what i think about it...
BURN IT BEFORE IT LAYS EGGS!
