Hello everyone, I was just wondering what is the best configuration for Mario Kart Wii, in the emulator and in ISO properties.
I have a PhenomII x4 945 3.0ghz, 3.0GB RAM, GeForce GT240 and Windows 7 Professional x86.
There are some races that run at full fps 50-60, but there are ones that goes 40-45 and it's some kinda annoying not playing at full speed.

click on the first page and take a look at the very first post.
apply the settings as shown. then run the game.
Use the dircet3d9 plug-in and disable fog if the opengl plugin is too slow. you may also want to try changing up your revision. grab the 2.0, and the most recent revision, then see what fps you get.
I found that r6746 sse4 by xtreme2damax ran most of my games at the best fps.
This game has slowed down a lot recently.
That config windows are very, very old, and I'm using the latests revisions, I think ugoo is right, maybe slowed down recently, although it's just some races

Agreed.
Is it possible to update the first page the instructions are so old none of the screens are close to looking like that anymore, and with so many changes is there a new setup that is better? and could we update the screen shots at the front to reflect a newer version.
EDIT: Looking at the member on the front page he has not been here since 2009 signed in at least, so can an Admin change his post?
I looked up some builds that supposedly run mario kart better. Right now r6901 x64 and Lectrodes r6970 sse4.1 x64 seem to be the fastest for me. I think r6901 might even be a bit faster but when i was testing it had slightly bigger slow downs than lectrodes r6970 sse4.1. I tested both with 4 players (well i was controlling all 4 players at the same time) was getting an average of 90-92% speed with revision 6901 at 25-28 average FPS (I think 30fps is full speed when in 4 player mode as it was really smooth even at 25 fps) but occasional speed drops went into the 80s and even 70s but not too noticeable as it happened fast, fps drops went as low as 23. with lectrodes build average speed was around 90% FPS around 25-27 (slightly lower than 6901) but speed and fps drops were less severe.
One thing to note, I would probably have more accurate benchmark results if i had all 4 players playing at the same time, as i had to finish the race on each controller separately. (Speed and fps will probably be less when all 4 players are neck and neck blowing each other up)
also these are estimates from me playing. If i had a program to record all the data I would use that instead.
r6901:
High: 105%~ FPS: 33
Low: 76% FPS: 23~
Average: 90-92% FPS:25-28~
lectrodes 6970 sse4.1 optimized:
High: 101%~ FPS: 29
Low: 80% FPS: 23~
Average: 90 FPS:25-27~
as for settings i used for benchmarking performance:

fps in multiple player mode should still be 60 (see my screenshot in earlier post). check "accurate vbeam emulation" and "mmu speed hack" to get a fps boost. you should also disable fog to get rid of the annoying blue square. i get 60 fps on 2 players, haven't tested it with 4 yet.
2 players I do get 60fps or close to. 4 players it maxes out with 100% speed at 30fps. I dont know why but the game runs perfectly at 30 fps, it feels like it is in 60 fps. Its not in slow motion or lagging at all.
