no, for me it just removes that blue box.

huh? And you're using an nvidia card? Cuz normally it's nvidia cards that have the issue, ATI cards don't.

yup, i still see it when disable fog is unchecked.
and its gone when it is checked.

Switched back to Dolphin 2.0 to play this game decently. It's horribly slow in newer revisions (38% speed even with framelimiter off).
Hello! I'm kind of new here so if I make any mistakes, don't be afraid to correct me.
I'm trying to run this game on Dolphin (latest revision), however it seems to be running slugishly. The clock in-race takes about 2-2.5 seconds to do 1 second of counting. I'm using the performance settings recommended here.

I may be wrong about this, but isn't that CPU kinda slow for this emulator ? I looked it up and it says it has a lotta cache ( 6MB ), but does that matter when it's only runnin' at 1.6 GHz ?
Oh, wait, I looked at the specs again and it's sayin' it has a max. turbo frequency of 2.8 GHz ? I don't know how that works exactly, but make sure it's runnin' at that frequency when you use Dolphin.
