Alright, an update. I bought copies of Zelda WW, New Super Mario Bros, and Super Paper Mario at my local game shop. Both Super Mario Bros and Paper Mario play at 100% no lag or anything. But.. WW plays at about 80~85% and about 65% when fighting an enemy. I do have DSP LLE enabled because it's need to prevent the game from crashing. Any avise or tips on how to make the game run faster? Or is it the same situation as with the Metroid, that my ancient i7 is too slow?

Another question, does Dolphin run faster on Windows? Using DirectX9 instead of OpenGL?
People say that LLE is needed for Wind Waker to play without crashing, which I find hard to believe. I've beaten the game with 3.0 a long time ago with HLE and use HLE to run the game every now and then with the latest builds and never have any issues. If it is true that LLE is needed now, it's a shame, because the game never needed that before.

Your CPU is too slow for EFB to RAM but here's what you can do:
- go into User/GameConfig and search your game .ini
- find the line below and modify it

EFBToTextureEnable = True

Now the game will be faster but you'll have to deal with graphical glitches
Starscream: I read that on the Dolphin wiki you can have random crashes if you don't use LLE, but i'll try it with HLE and see how it goes. After switching to HLE the game does run faster, but that's obvious i think.

Keep in mind that EFB to RAM is required to be able to use the Picto Box, and that save states tend to exacerbate the issues that make the game require LLE.

You were just lucky. There are certain parts of the game that have a tendency to freeze at a gray/black screen without LLE in any build, even 3.0. I was definitely having this issue on r6505 and older so it's been around for awhile. Maybe even since dolphin 2.0
