Marathoning the game and being in physical pain from it, while perfectly understandable as a reason for hating the controls, was a *really* dumb idea for a waggly game like this. Don't do that next time and you might find the controls more enjoyable. v_v;

Let me guess... you speedran it on your first playthrough, didn't you? The game takes like 80 hours normally, so you certainly didn't play it through in one sitting by just playing it as the devs intended. The bird and fishing sections are a tiny tiny piece of the game, but when speedrunning you can't blast through them as fast as the rest... figures you'd be hung up on them. Speedrunning doesn't fit well with a lot of games, so you should never do it on the first playthrough.
Not really. I went kind of quick, and didn't do most of the sidequests, but it wasn't a speedrun at all. It took 32 hours, and the game hadn't been released at the time, so there was no information at all to be found to help me out. Flying/swimming aren't even that slow, the controls are just the worst thing ever designed, ever.

It started within an hour, and topped out within 3-4. I've never had the same problem before, even when playing for 10+ hours straight.
32 hour game session (single sitting) :/

10+ hour play session :\

That don't sound too healthy, even you're young. Forget repetitive strain injuries, how did you avoid getting eye strain? Also, you did eat and sleep when you played SS from start to finish right? Please say yes.

I agree though, the motion controls suck. I mean, there's no left-handed mode Dodgy

Eye strain? From looking at a TV? Does that really happen? I'm at my computer all day every day, and have never had a problem.

I ate, but didn't sleep. it wouldn't be one sitting if i had. I slept right after.
You can get eyestrain from just about anything that involves focusing your eyes for extended periods of time (yes, even reading). It also varies from person to person. Usually, it can be avoided if it isn't 100% constant (e.g. at least 5 minutes of doing something else), so if you are at the computer (or any screen for that matter) all day, you're bound to eat and use the bathroom, thus breaking the consistency as evidenced here:

Unless you ate while playing...

It's never happened to me while gaming on the TV or reading, but sometimes I'll lose track of time on the internet, and after 5 hours my eyes start telling me to call it a night.

It happens to just about everyone with enough time.

You clearly have some special super eye genes.
With the advent of screen brightness controls and a wonderful little app called f.lux (lowers the screen's color temperature at night so colors are warmer (yes, lower = warmer)), I don't really tend to get much eyestrain either.
Stay on topic please. Topic -> Emulated motion Plus
I'd actually be very interested in this also. If you get a response, or news etc , if you could post it, it would be appreciated.

I tried using a real WM+ for this a while back, and I actually much preferred using a controller. I still find the 'motes' too gimmicky for my tastes, for actual gameplay, meaning not .. Wii tennis or whatever Tongue .
Well it's not that I don't like the controls, it's simply, I don't have a wii mote or motion plus.
