WOW these are pretty high demands if you ask me :|

Depends on what level of AA and what type. No video card currently exists which can handle 4x IR and 9xSSAA at the same time on all games. GTX 560 should be able to handle 4x IR + 4xMSAA.

How long do you think we'll have to wait for one?Big Grin

Hey guys. (I think thats the right thread here Wink)

To make it short, Im a bit disappointed of my cpu (see my signature) running dolphin.

E.g., I can run Super Mario Sunshine with my hardware (in my signature) and these settings: (I dont really know how to upload screenshots here)

- 3x native, 4xSSA, 16xAF
- 1920x1080 Fullscreen
- Audio: HLE (not LLE)

SMS runs with these settings with 25 fps the whole time. I can overclock the processor from 3,1 to 3,9 GHz, still only 25 fps.

If I enable LLE, the game is absolutely unplayable.

My big question is: imagine that I have not an AMD FX8120, but the
i5 2500k, the whole remaining hardware stays the same. Just swapping the processors, + enabling LLE.

The game will be playable, I assume. Am I right? How will it run, what do you estimate? Dont forget, with my actual processor LLE is impossible, but I want you to imagine its enabled when using the i5 2500k.

Nope , You have to buy new motherboard and maybe CPU cooler as well . AMD mobo doesn't work with Intel CPU
Recommend : Z68 or Z77 mobo
OK, and with a new mainboard + cpu..?

You should do just fine. Though HLE already works perfectly for this game, I'll see what how it runs with LLE. I think I tried it once (forgot to switch it HLE) and it was still running pretty good. I'll update you in an hour or so.

Also, just upload your screenshots to an image loader like imgur or put them as forum attachments.
Yeah , i5 2500k can run SMS + LLE full speed without overclocking
You might invest aftermarket cooler later if you overclock it to 4.4Ghz

Btw , 25 FPS is full speed for SMS PAL version . I have NTSC version , it run at 30 FPS
PAL : 25 or 50 FPS max (depend on the game)
NTSC-US , NTSC-Jap : 30 or 60 FPS max

hm, I supposed that yet, but really....? 25 fps cap..? so thats the fucking solution..Dodgy

the thing is only, with 25 fps the game always seems a little tiny bit laggy..do you feel that with your 30 fps, too?

is there another difference than the fps for me between pal and ntsc? ntsc is called "the optimized build"..why?

and thats the reason why my OCing hadnt any result in dolphin...but i can try to OC now so that its running with LLE maybe..lets see
