Is it worth upgrading from a E4500 @ 3.3GHz to a E8400 @ 4GHz or higher?

Save money and invest in a new platform.

flrn

ok so i have 200$ for upgrading and i can't decide between the i3 2100 and the phenom II 955 which one should i go with?of course the 2100 requires a new mobo so i gues it's worth it because it will be compatibile with the ivy bride for a future upgrade.
i3 2100 will perform better in dolphin.
What's your budget?

That's the very first thing he said....
Side question - sorry.

Can someone talk about the differences in dolphin performance b/w the i5 2500 and an oc 2500k? If I can get my hands on a 2500 cheap/free, is it worth it? Or do I really need to pony up and grab a 2500k?
