Dolphin still loving high-clock speed (over than 3Ghz is good),8Gb Ram are too much, the only mention here is the Ram's speed (ddr3 1333Mhz for example ) so 4Gb Ram is enough
Why in the world it gives me problem
I like i5 760 2.80ghz CPU which cost only 205$ if i remember. I dont like overclocking the CPU.
i7 is too much for my budget.
Tnx for the info about Ram.
What if i stick with this CPU??
Will i still experience a slow on some games?
Actually i wanna play it mostly Sports tennis, boxing, mario games, zelda and Monster Hunter.
core i5 is a better architecture than core2duo which means clock for clock it is faster. plus with turbo boost enabled the i5-760 can overclock itself to 3.46 GHz. i'd get the i5.

Your using i5 750. Did you overclock your CPU?
Did you try playing my posted games on 2.6 ghz which is the default for i5 750?
i didnt overclock my cpu but i have turbo boost on and it runs at 2.8 ghz when using dolphin. playing new super mario bros which is one of the fastest running games, i get a solid 60 fps even with 9x SSAA (100+ without framelimit/no AA). on super mario galaxy using a slightly older rev i get 54-60fps. on zelda ww and tp i get 30 fps (those games run at 30fps max) but that's only at the start of the games and i haven't got to certain parts which may be slower. also i'm not sure how much the difference my ati 5850 and the gts 250 would make regarding the speed of graphically intensive games like smg 1/2. hope this helps.
I've been keeping up with the progress of the emulator for a while, and just got a graphics card finally (GT 240 512mb GDDR 5) and my processor is an Intel E5200. This processor is supposedly highly overclockable, and at stock runs at 2.5 Ghz. I dunno if anyone else here has one of these processors, but if I'm going to overlock this, what should I shoot for to make Dolphin run well? If anyone has any general info, or has this type of processor themselves, I would appreciate any advice. Thanks.

Ah crap. Hopefully that is an isolated thing. I got the card really cheap from a NewEgg error for $15 after rebate. I also have a GT 220, which is less powerful that I will likely sell.
EDIT: After looking around looks like its a GT wide problem with the drivers. Ugh.

Some say it worked in a previous driver version though, so maybe someone could point me in the right direction of a working driver for this card in the future, if it is indeed out there. Sucks one of the best bang for your buck cards out there has problems with this emulator.

i got the E5200 and got it on 3.3 ghz.
you can run most games on full speed except games like mario galaxy 1 or 2.
zelda tp is running good so far (full speed)

but then again i got a better graphic card...
