Im kinda new in Dolphin emulation so any kind of help would be much apreciated.
Greetz ! ^^
I think u can cuz my computer(mine is almost same as urs) can run almost all gc and wii games with 80%-100% speed
You can EASILY emulate all games that Dolphin can... Even my rig can run them fine... You can get optimum quality..(atleast better than mine..:p)
I think I'm going to upgrade my comp soon as I don't run the games as fast as I'd like them to run. Right now I get about 40-50 avg in SMG 2, 35-50 in SSBB and obviously a full 60 in New Super Mario Bros. Any recommendations? I don't wanna go too crazy, I just figure with my current gear running the games this fast, then a minor upgrade should put me at 60 fps in all games. I'll probably ebay my current stuff, then toss in the few extra bucks to get whatever.
Question: Is Dolphin more about Raw CPU speed? similiar to PS2 emulation?
Any recommendations will be appreciated!
I'm putting together a new budget gaming PC and was wondering how you guys think it'll do with Dolphin.
AMD Phenom II X3 720 (planning to OC to 3.5+ GHz and hopefully unlock the fourth core)
4 GB G.SKILL DDR3 1600 RAM (7-8-7-24-2N)
ASUS Radeon HD 4870
Specifically, how do you think it'll handle the more demanding games like Twilight Princess?
sorry to bother, but will this be able to handle dolphin with twilight princess gc?
Intel Pentium Dual Core T4400 2.20GHz
Intel GMA 4500M
3GB DDR2
it's this laptop i'm looking to get.

if it's not compatible, could somebody assist me in finding a budget laptop that can run it fairly well, i don't want to waste my time getting it to run half assed.
thanks a bunch. =)
!! bump !!
sorry for the impatience but i sort of need to know soon.
Do you have the option to take one with an nvidia or ati/amd videocard? The integrated graphics from Intel are crap!
actually, what about these from my desktop.
processor - intel celeron D processor 360 3.46GHz 512 KB L2 cache
video card - intel graphics media accelerator 950
any good? when i'm using dolphin i'll most likely have everything else closed.

No! The GMA950 is an old integrated graphics from Intel without hardware T&L (DX7!), shader model 3 (in Software!) and shared memory (SLOW!). I don't want to play anything with this.

I'm on a fairly strict budget, but do you think it's worth a ~$30-40 price premium to get a Radeon 5770 rather than a 4870? Benchmarks put the two cards close, with the 4870 winning by a bit, but the 5770 supports DX11. I don't know how big of a deal that is or will be. I won't be doing Crossfire with this box, and I don't care about Eyefinity.
