meanstream is something like the GF8 or GF9 series

also, wrong forums fuckface XD

I would say the 260 is a mainstream card... A budget is an 8 or 9, a mainstream would be a 260 or 250 and an enthusiast... well that would be dual sli on 295gtxs Tongue

Nice guide, i allways have problems with motherboards.... it starts out with some 100 dollar asus board and somehow i end up looking at a nforce 980 board or something :S
mainstream might be a wrong choice of words here
i mean, mainstream = overpowered stuff.
tell me a game the 260 would have trouble rendering :/
even my GF 8600 GT (which is half speed of the 8800) can even do UT3 perfectly fine on med settings (which is the hardest game on gfx i have)
imo "mainstream" in this case should be called standard or normal pc.

I have a 9600m gt and i struggle to run team fortress 2 on highest settings (win 7) and a 260 would have big issues with crysis im sure

odd i have a 8400 GS and i run tf2 on highest fine

with this you have full speed

in zelda TP : no and never
in double dash : most times no
wave race : no way
1080° : no way
mario sunshine : most places but not everywhere

in other words : i got 3150mhz dualcore and more then 50% of my games dont run perfect with that.

all other points are even exceeded. (4870 + vista 64bit + 4gb ram)

i dont say that its unplayable...besides wave race and TP all are good playable.

but you wont have fullspeed with ~3ghz in most games.

its just not usefull to tell lies about the real speed.

each day 5 thread pop out : "why is dolphin running so slow, xy plays it faster, blah"

the fps you get are no contest.

your system is not worth more just because you add +50% gamespeed to the truth.

um... your doing it wrong.... :p i have a 2.0ghz dual and get allmost fullspeed in double dash
I doubt ghz really matters in dolphin. A i7 920 only has 2,6ghz but will beat the sh*t out of a q6600 with 3,6ghz.

Proof?
Isn't it obvious a i7 is faster?
