I found this widescreen hack called Swiss.
(http://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-wid...der?page=6) It works way better
than the regular dolphin widescreen hack with barely any glitches (fixes Mario
Sunshine, Twilight Princess, and more). The problem is, it doesn't show up as a
game and you can't use custom textures at the same time due to dolphin thinking
it's another game. Could you add native support for the Swiss widescreen hack
as a selection from a drop-down.

Also, the master branch does huge stutters making the game
unplayable. Please fix that as well.
Obligatory warning that I'm *really* tired of giving out: 3.5-367 is an old build that you got from an unofficial site. There are newer builds on the official site: http://dolphin-emu.org/download/

Aside from that, the stuttering you mention is likely just due to your hardware – an HD 4000 ain't exactly great for Dolphin, and whatever i5 you have (there are a hundred different i5s you could have, ranging from worthless (like my 2557M) to perfect for Dolphin (like a 3570K) – you gotta be specific!) probably isn't ridiculously good either, so, uh, get better hardware or don't complain, because it ain't exactly possible to lower the CPU/GPU requirements for this Rube Goldberg machine.

Back to the actual topic, one of the developers might be up for implementing the Swiss widescreen hack. Depends on how motivated they are and how much they care, which right now isn't that much, honestly. (Also, your link is broken.)
Actually I use the old build because it runs quite smoothly. I did try the new one, and that's the one I was saying was slow, but I guess it was the dolphin that I regularly use that gave the specs, but I was talking about the new branch that's slow.

Edit: just tried new build 3.5 dolphin-master-3.5-1391-x64. The framerate itself seems fine, when it isn't in a stutter. Wind Waker's at 30 fps , and then a 5 second pause, and 30 fps again, and pause again. The one I use normally, 3.5-367 I got off of http://www. shall not be named/ works at nearly a constant 30 fps with no stutter, so I know my computer is capable, but some of the optimization is worse in the newer builds. It's not that I'm too cheap to buy a better computer, but I do need an "air size" laptop to take in my backpack that has a long battery life.

PS. My i5 is an i5-3317U CPU 1.70 GHZ with Turbo Boost "overclock" to 2.50 GHZ (Turbo Boost comes with it, so I don't know why they say it's 1.70 GHZ, but I much rather prefer getting more than advertised than less)
Then please at lest download that build from the real site? :p

WOW, I tried the regular 3.5 build, and it pretty much stayed 30 fps throughout the whole Wind Waker title screen which was pretty much the only slow-down in the -367. Funny, turns out, it seems the older the 3.5 build, the faster, although I heard 3.0 has issues, so I won't go that far.
3.5-367 is old, use the download button at the top of the forum to download the latest development version.

Wait a minute, it's only DirectX 9 that is messed up in the new builds, DirectX 11 works fine. That's strage. I guess I shouldn't use DX9 in the new builds because it is being ignored because it is considered obsolete.

And also, OpenGL is completely broken, so in the dev build, it's either DX11 or have a bad time.

Wrong, there's nothing wrong with either of those backends. Something you're doing. Don't you think there would be some posts around here if two of the three plugins were broken?
Every backend has its issues, but all should work fine (sometimes slower, sometimes faster).

DX9: try to use 3.5-1162 as it is without perf querys. I guess it lacks because of them
OGL: I guess your crash is fixed in 3.5-1535, isn't it?

But first, you should try to update your intel gfx driver as there was lots of changes in the last half year.

btw: could you please test the hacked buffer upload in ogl backend? I wasn't able to test it on the windows hd4000 driver

Like others, I'd also like to give you this advise:
Swiss GC might be a more accurate way of running GCN games in widescreen, but in SMS it still causes glitches with heat-waves, water reflections and objects disappear on the left and right of the screen .. Use this AR-Code and you will get a much better result!
I hope you are using the PAL version, because I haven't found this code for NTSC yet .. Also note, that it works only in the game, not in the title screen
