I want to use the custom texture described in the wind waker wikia to fix the fire doubling issue. where is the texture folder on the mac os?

They should go in /Users/los/Library/Application Support/Dolphin/Load/GZLE01/. (This assumes you have a US copy of the game.) ~/Library is hidden from normal view as of Lion, so you'll need to click Go in the menubar, hold the Option key, and click the Library option that appears.

Also, you're using an old build of Dolphin, we're over a thousand builds ahead. I'd normally tell you to go get the latest version from http://dolphin-emu.org/download/ but, uh, it doesn't work properly on an Intel HD 3000 under OS X yet (crashes under 10.7, uses software rendering on 10.8, renders nearly-but-not-quite-correctly on 10.8.4 beta), so I'd recommend you either use stable 3.5 or 3.5-663. http://dolphin-emu.org/download/dev/8767...f3b839e50/
thanks. there is a 'texture' folder in my 'load' folder. should i copy the gzle01 into the texture folder or put it next to it?

I've tried a bunch of versions, the 3.5 and the one I have are pretty good, the one i have is slighty faster [0.1% more] but somehow i've convinced myself that's good enough
Yeah, put GZLE01 in Texture. I rarely use replacement textures, plus I'm disoriented and in the middle of Bumblefuck, Kansas, so fill in the details for me, will ya? v_v;
Thanks. I hear bumblefuck is nice this time of year. but when I run the level on the game where the texture is needed i'll definitely report back
