We dont know why , we guess that during that time 505games got the new cash cow from other game so they want all the money to produce the cartridge for other game.

I sent a follow-up email, asking for clarification on the Wii release, and if they had any builds of the game, but didn't hear back from them. I also contacted 505Games, and after a bit of back and forth was told that "we do not have readily accessible info regarding older titles. With these requests, we usually escalate internally to ask for more information, but even then, it might not always pan out."


As for barcodes and the like:

Play-Asia still has a product listing for the North American Wii release, with boxart and a barcode - 0812872012148. They also have a German version, but no barcodes.

Corecell's Facebook gallery has an inlay of a UKV Wii release, with the barcode 8023171022697, and a product code that's difficult to make out; SHJP-UKV? SIUP-UKV?

I did a bit of searching of the german version because I can, it seems some EAN codes are:

German Wii: 8023171022710
German DS: 8023171022666
English (UK?) Wii: 8023171022697
English (UK?) DS: 8023171019673

(https://www.ean-search.org/?q=B-+Units was also helpful to find the English ones)

While searching the German Wii EAN, I found a mention in the redump wiki about missing Wii PAL games, where it says "less then 100 copies sold/distributed apparently", but is categorized under "Unconfirmed Games".
(Also interestingly the german amazon page (which also contains some screenshots) advertises co-op and versus Multi-Player as a feature, but GameFAQs and on the Dolphin wiki page it says it is Single-Player)

Looking at the inlay, it appears to be 2 players.
