I'm not sure ill check it out
1.45v vcore is the Absolute Maximum for the E5200 according to intels documentation. Not 1.3625v like the spec sheet.
"The CPU runs very cool. You will have no issues at all with a better heatsink combo. 4ghz+ on air.
This CPU has a max temperature of 74c (Tcase). This will be temp1,2, or 3 in speedfan or other monitors and the bios reading. NOT core1/core2 if your using core temp. Tcase is the temperature to go by. Tjunction is core1/core2 a maximum of 95-100c
3.5ghz
CPU Idle 26c, - Core1/core2 idle 41c
CPU load 49c - Core1/core2 load 60c
3.7ghz
CPU Idle 29c, - Core1/core2 idle 44c
CPU load 53c - Core1/core2 load 64c
So as you can see even at 3.7ghz, 53c at full load is well under the 74c max cpu temperature. Even the core temps are well under the max."
taken from the newegg product page... looks like you will need a new heatsink/fan but if your overclocking you will want that anyway i suppose
God, I really don't wanna by intel but people are acting like I should... oh well... I updated the front page with a AM3 processor that's compatible with the board...
can anyone tell me if that board will ship with the newest bios or if it will at least be in version 700ish
the AMD one..
well the E5200 is a very good overclocker

, i have mine overclocked to 3.2GHz on the stock fan

(and a friend of mine has his overclocked to 3.7GHz ON THE STOCK FAN!!! xD

)
Between a Core 2 and a Phenom II, I'd say the Phenom II (it has dual and tri-cores too)
Other than that (meaning the 1337 range) I recommend the i7 920 (D0 version will clock just as high as any OC'd 975. After all, the 975 is a 920 with an unlocked multiplier)

... nice try but i highly doubt that am3 cpu will fit in the am2 slot
AM3 is reverse compatible with a bios update
Will the bios update already be implemented you think?
you'll have to update the bios when you get it

(i haven't seen a mobo that comes with it's bios updated

)
so do you think it will at least boot up to the point where I can upgrade it with the AM3 processor
maybe with a bootable floppy disk to install the BIOS , But honnestly I dont even know if you can get to POST with a non recognized Cpu ? No ?
hmm im going to update the front page with some stuff
