Anyway here's what you're gonna do:
- Use one of the latest builds. The one you've been using is old and comes from the old website. Get your builds here from now on http://dolphin-emu.org/download/?ref=btn .
- Don't move your own DSP files from the old build to the new one. In recent builds a free DSP is provided so you can use LLE without any dumps (it's supposed to work with most games). Now try the game and tell us if you noticed any difference
Got the new version of Dolphin and new DSP files.

I have music and sounds! Yay! There is still some choppiness or crackling (particularly with chests or an enemy), but it seems this version doesn't have the OpenAL option with Latency adjustment, so I don't know how to address that.

Still, this is a big improvement, so thank you very much! Smile
choppiness and crackling can also come from not having full speed with LLE.

Then, evidently, you got an even older build. Use the current developer build from here if you want it back: http://dolphin-emu.org/download/

This is where he got his build. But he apparently stopped to "stable versions" and didn't go further

Got one of the newest versions (one not marked "stable") and it is working beautifully! Only a little bit of slow down in the game and very little skipping or crackling in the audio.

Thank you everyone for all your help and suggestions! You are very kind. Smile
