If the microphone works on the Wii, it should work on Dolphin. I believe most (all?) USB microphones work on the Wii.

If it's not a USB microphone, it won't work.

I got a USB headset (HyperX Cloud II 7.1), but I couldn't make it work with Green Day: Rock Band at all. When I try to whitelist it on dolphin (with or without libusbk), the game freezes in a black screen right after the wii mote safety instructions screen.

I've tried looking, but I can't seem to find a way to get rid of the stutter in Rock Band 3. I have tried all of the different backends, DX11, DX12, Vulkan, changing the settings to the lowest possible values, using all instruments mode to disable rendering, ubershaders, but nothing seems to fix it. It makes faster songs almost impossible to play correctly. Does anyone have any ideas how to get rid of the stutter? Even at "60 FPS" there is a very noticeable stutter.

I am running this with a Ryzen 7 3700X and an RTX 2070 Super, so my computer is not the problem, but any ideas you guys have would be greatly appreciated.

Hi all. I purchased a RB Logitech microphone for use in Rock Band (https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B004073MEA) - I installed the libusK driver using zadig and whitelisted the microphone in passthrough, but i'm having no luck with the game recognising it (just 'please insert logitech USB microphone into USB connector'). It comes up as 046d:0a03, so I don't know if i'm just doing something stupid or missed something obvious - would appreciate any help.

EDIT: I missed something obvious, I didn't change the driver of the composite parent for the mic :X

Performance in this game has been fine for many versions.
Which Dolphin version are you using? What are your settings in the General and Enhancement tabs? What about the Hacks tab? I know if you have "Store EFB Copies to Texture Only" enabled, it makes the characters appear all black, but you get a good performance boost too.
Also, make sure to check the log to see if some error isn't piling up and causing issues.

@fouriels

Did you find a guide about how to change the driver of the composite parent for the mic? I'm stuck with the mic not being detected but I'm not sure how to update the composite.

I ended up getting this working, I had installed the driver to the composite parent AND the device, but it needs to be installed only to the composite parent instead. Whoops!

Do you mean using any Rock Band drum kit, or does it have to be a wii drum kit for Rock Band? I was searching through the forums on my current issue, I've set up my Xbox 360 drum kit with dolphin in hopes of playing Rock Band 3 in pro drum mode (where it can distinguish between the yellow, blue and green cymbals vs toms) but like another user I noticed that the emulated drum extension only has options for Guitar Hero style drums. Is there any way to use my Xbox 360 drums to get them to work correctly for RB3 pro drums?  I do have the MIDI pro adapter around here somewhere also, cause I used it with my real E-Drum kit waaaay back in the day on the xbox. lol   But there's no way to run the wireless 360 drums through the MIDI adapter that I'm aware of.
I know there probably aren't a lot of people asking questions about pro drums on Rock Band 3 these days, but the devs have done AMAZING support for various controllers throughout the development of Dolphin (I've got my xbox DJ Hero turn table to work for playing the DJ Hero games thanks to some of their updates previously Smile. Anyway, I thought it would be worth asking.

Is there a video or explanation somewhere about how to setup Dolphin for the pro guitar? I just got a Wii Fender Mustang pro guitar. I am working on a project to write a HID or MIDI driver for the dongle. TIA
