Here's the specs:
Windows 8 64x
3rd Generation Intel Core i7-3630QM Processor( 2.40GHz 1600MHz 6MB)
NVIDIA GeForce GT750M GDDR5 2GB
RAM 8.0GB PC3-12800 DDR3 SDRAM 1600 MHz
Ideally I would like to play mostly Gamecube games, especially Wind Waker, Paper Mario TTYD, Super Mario Sunshine, Pokemon Colosseum, etc... with some nice settings (2x internal resolution?). And I'm interested in playing Skyward Sword, SMG2, Pokemon Battle Revolution, and maybe Super Paper Mario. Are these out of reach for fullspeed gaming even at the lowest settings?
Thank you
WW and SMG2 require a pretty powerful computer, but from what I can tell you may be fine. Just watch out for your Laptop overheating, as that's a big problem with some or them.
Just make sure you have one game you test settings ect... on. Make sure it's an older GC game you know will probably require low specs.
Wind Waker is not a very demanding game. If your CPU stays cool and turbo boosts fully WW should run damn near perfectly. Super Mario Sunshine isn't too intense either and shouldn't give you too many problems. Skyward Sword should be acceptable, you won't get full speed all the time though. SMG2 will not likely be playable though. The game needs DSP LLE, to prevent crashing and audio cutting off, and that needs a 4.2+ghz overclocked i5. The rest of the games I can't comment on.
These games will work fine except Pokemon games that are more demanding. Same thing for SMG 1/2
4.2 GHz? What kind of computer has that GHz? I'm pretty sure you can't get computers over here in shops with that kind of power and it took ages to find this computer with 3.4GHz.

Hello, I'm sorry to bump, but I thought of another game. Would this computer be able to play Super Smash Bros Brawl at 100% speed? What kind of resolution could I expect with that graphics card? Would 2x be feasible? Maybe 2.5x?
SSBB will be playable. With IR x2 maybe
He has the GT 750M which is pretty fast for 3xIR or even 4xIR

Oh wow, that is really encouraging! I still don't have access to the computer (it's home and I'm away for college) but as soon as finals are done I'm going to start trying these games out. I'll make sure to contribute to the Wiki with my results. Thanks!
