So am I correct in assuming basic cheats get this to work without clumsily booting a disc launcher? I really would have liked a proper widescreen rendering of Billy Hatcher, but I'm almost done with the game now.
Koetsu, you are correct. The swiss widescreen hack is a set of cheats.
Thanks, the widescreen hack is working great here (swiss hack)

Oh cool. So now how would I get the cheats so I can use the cool new widescreen hack on the games I play without going through the swiss loader?

Mine doesn't work Sad Every time I load the disc it says: "Dolphin has stopped working". Any fixes for this?
I'm going to bump this thread. I'm using the Widescreen fix that Fix94 posted in post #69, and then the method posted in post #70. This is by far the best widescreen in Super Mario Sunshine that i've got thus far (no blurring/clipping on the edges). The first part of the game plays excellently (the initial landing strip). However, once I start the game after getting out of jail, there is a dark grey box around the 4:3 area of the game, but the widescreen is the normal brightness. Anybody have a fix for this:

EDIT: apparently it is just on the main part of the island that this is happening. I just got to the first level, and everything is working correctly again. Guess I'll just have to live w/ the box in the main area. This is still very cool. Super Mario Sunshine in 1080p hi-def!

It looks like you chose the "Yes" option in swiss instead of "Persp." Try changing the setting and see if it changes. If it doesn't, I can tell you where the box is coming from: when you first get to Delphino Plaza, you have no shine sprites, and so the whole island is a bit dark-tinted. It would appear this was just a faded effect applied to the game, but only to the main 4:3 window the game is trying to render to. Unfortunately, if changing that setting in swiss doesn't work, you'll just have to ignore it until you get more shine sprites.

Anyways, I'm glad you bumped this thread, as I'm having problems getting the GameCube version of Twilight Princess to work correctly with Widescreen. I've gone through many of the possible fixes listed earlier in this thread, with varying results. With one setting, the water is all glitched up, but on the other, objects keep disappearing from the screen. This also happened when I tried to use swiss with Wind Waker, but I used the cheat found in the Wiki, and Wind Waker's widescreen works without any problems whatsoever. There IS a cheat for Twilight Princess on the wiki, but it's for the PAL version, and does not work for my NTSC version. At this rate I'd be better off playing the Wii version in Dolphin...

Does anyone have any ideas?
So does anyone have a widescreen AR code for Mario Sunshine?

How do I change the Swiss-settings with the "swiss_dolphin_full_wide_autoboot.dol"? Or do I have to use the regular version?
