for the most part the i3 3220 is equally well, the only major difference is that the i3 3220 has intel hd graphics 2000 and the intel i3 3225 has intel hd graphics 4000, so either one is fine as long as you are using a separate GPU
HD 2500, not HD 2000.
ok i buy a i3-3220,a hd 7770 and 8gb ddr3 ram

i would get a hyper 212+ or hyper 212 EVO (evo being slightly better).

with a substancial overclock... the 5800k should be able to do the job except for the really intensive games where itll probably chug.

since it turbos normally to 4.2... it probably would need to be close to 5ghz for it to attempt run the really intensive games..

I forgot if Trinity is built on Piledriver architecture but i believe it is.

but a i3-3325 or i3-3240 might suit your needs better. but they dont boost at all... and ur trying keep costs low. and HD 4000 which is nice but wont really get your past 1 - 1.5x res. |:

for amd though i would go with a water cooler though if you really want to push it for dolphin. like a Corsair H60.
ok the i3-3220,hd 7770 and 8gb ddr3 ram is better for him

It is.

List of AMD APU Architectures: (Show Spoiler)

Richland is only a month away so if he's interested in an AMD APU he might want to wait. Although richland is just going to be a minor refresh with slightly higher clock rates at the same TDP. In other words it's the same architecture/chips. Thanks AMD marketing department!

Fall of this year is when temash, kabini, and kaveri are released. And that's going to be a big update.
