1- The best solution is of course to use LLE. However switching from HLE to LLE won't work with savestates (the emulator will crash) so you'll have to make an ingame save, switch to LLE, do what you have to do, make another ingame save and switch back to HLE.
2- Now something else you can try. Set Framelimit to "Off" (or "Auto" but preferably "Off") and enable "Audio Throttle" (in sound settings)
