It's not nearly as good as half of the other Tales games you ought to play. It's pretty maligned within the Tales community. Fwiw, it's an okay game and quite enjoyable if you're not expecting too much from it. I bought it after playing Symphonia; the two can't compare. The music in this game however, simply blows anything else I've heard for the Tales series. As much as I adore Motoi Sakuraba (he did some Abyss, Phantasia, Vesperia music and probably more) the symphonies in this game are simply amazing. In fact, don't buy the game, just buy the OST.
Off topic : I heard Lost Odyssey is a good JRPG . Should i buy xbox360 to play it ?
Guess i have to stick with Xenosaga for a while (PCSX2 this time)
No. Atleast wait for the Durango to make its appearance so that the 360 gets a nice price-drop.
I don't know much about the game, but from the quick look I just took, it looks like a corridor game. Not much freedom.

Will that game truly justify the cost?
I'm guessing you have more games in mind than that.

Now I'm curious. It should have the typical "Tales of" vibe to it right? Then again, the franchise exploded with Symphonia.

As for the music. I like Motoi Sakuraba's soundtracks. His Symphonia, Abyss, Baten Kaitos, etc soundtracks are just superb.
I'll have a look out for this game. Hopefully the soundtrack is as good as you say.
Is the Xenosaga games as good as Xenoblade?
In my book Xenoblade is one of the best games I have ever played

It's subjective but I guess they are.

Xenogears for the PS1 is better than Xenosaga. Xenogears is up there with the best RPGs ever made IMO.
@Garteal - ToL definitely has a "Tales of" feel, and the story isn't all that bad (racism almost ends the world), but the voice acting is something you can live without, and the graphics leave a lot to be desired. Some characters are simply annoying (Shirley and Norma, chiefly), but the rest are fine. Combat is old-school "Tales of" style (straight line "linear" fighting) and it's enjoyable. If you're like me and hope to play most of the "Tales of" series, go for it, but ymmv.

ToL's entire OST is orchestrated; it's simply amazing. I think Go Shiina composed most of the tracks. Listen to it on YouTube; it'll change your life. My favorites: Forest of No Return, Sunlight Filtering Through the Leaves, March, Chasing Shirley, and Ancient Ship.
Haha..

i've been looking around for a copy of Tales of Symphonia, and I found one.
Only problem is that they want my regional equivalent to 154 US Dollars..

This was in a computer store that specializes in retro gaming stuff tho, but I'm not sure if I'm gonna laugh or cry :p

Looking around other places I often see used games go for like $50 for like 10 games, because people are getting rid of old stuff. I guess I just have to look a bit more Smile
You didn't remember to look on ebay ?
There are listings right now for as low as $20
