It's a recent system but I guess we can consider GBA as "retro" since it's only a SNES II. It's somehow an exception

Super Mario Bros. 3 is simply the most aggravating game ever (exaggeration)! I've seen so many videos of people beating the final battle with Bowser but I just can't! Even with the suit with the "p". What is that suit called anyway? I know it's the taniku suit or something like that, but what is the "p" one called?

@Xalphenos - The N64/PS1/DC era, aka the 5th generation is largely known for introducing some of the first notably "full" 3D games. Perhaps this is why you distinguish anything before them as classic. For me I'm in the same boat as LordVador. 6th generation seems to be my cut-off, but some early games from that era are getting old enough to reconsider in a few years, e.g. Halo:CE (it's already been "updated" with an anniversary edition no less).

Most GBA games fall into this category for me as well, since a lot of my GBA library was made almost or over a decade ago (and I haven't played a few for a decade either).

Sorry to pull a NaturalViolence, but actually Saturn would fit there. Dreamcast is 6th Generation with the GameCube, PS2, and Xbox.

You know it's hard to keep track of which Sega consoles failed and when; they seem to have one for every generation since they started.

And correcting people isn't being like NaturalViolence; it's being a good citizen :p

As for me, while having played the NES, N64, PS1, etc, I've had the best 'classic' times with the PC back in 2002. Namely with a RPG called Dungeon Siege. I guess it being an online game too made it more appealing. But the singleplayer campaign is fun to play on its own. Too bad "Zonematch" (the online server) is down.

NaturalViolenced - To be ridiculed and corrected repeatedly to an extreme level.

However without NaturalViolence these forums would be a whole lot worse on the grammatical and factual side.

You have no idea how much of a grammar nazi I could become. I can spot errors you never even knew existed (like that incomplete comparison from your quote).

Just curious ILovetheGamecube, do you play games that were made "before your time"? A lot of games are available through Nintendo's online store for the Wii; play any of those? Or do you emulate them on your PC? Personally, I don't play anything before the NES (aside from certain arcade games).
