ok...i just wasnt sure..is there anyway to upgrade my drive? and also i did...it didnt say wat drives did and didnt support it.
if it doesn't work then tell the make and model of the drive and it'll be added into the "does not work" list

ATAPI DVD A doesn't tell us much and isn't really necessary to say. I'm guessing you have a Lite-On drive.
Just a suggestion, but why the hell are we making a list for drives that DON'T work? I find that kind of pointless. This list will be HUGE by the time everyone's done telling that their drives won't work. How about we just have a list of drives that do work.
To think i used to have a LG dvd ram (dunno what model, imported), it died after a week of use...
F***
the list is missing the official "will work" dvd drive list
also, here are 2 drives that will work
Optiarc DVD RW AD-7203A (i flashed its firmware in the past, not sure if thats why)
(HL-DT-ST DVD-ROM) GDR8161B
to lazy to check the id of my 3th drive that works (its in the pc downstairs)
list updated tnx for testing
firmware flash can do things indeed am not sure i will flash my old one soon and see what happands
if it work i will make a guide for it ^^
