Hello,
Hopefully this is the right thread for this question
I tried to dump a GameCube Legend of Zelda game using Raw Dump 2.0, and the DVD Drive I am using is Phillips DVD+-RW DVD8701.
It recognizes that I have a GameCube disk in the tray, but when I try to run it, Raw Dump gives me "You might have a faulty disk drive!"
Is there anything different that I should do (I put the disk in then run the program) or should I try a different dump program?
Thanks

On the first page of this thread is a list all the CD drives that are capable of dumping.
Also try rawdump 2.1, not 2.0

On the CD drive list, I did see a Philips brand listed, but for some reason that one works and mine doesn't. I wonder how they got theirs to work? It does say "GameCube game detected' but then that's as far as it gets.

It may not work on that drive. Only a very small number of drives are supported. I can't remember why exactly.
To rule out the software, try using friidump 0.4.0 to dump the disc. If that doesn't work then it's probably the drive. I have a supported drive and both programs work equally well for me (friidump is a little slower but works with dual layer Wii discs, something rawdump does not support).

My DVD drive is not listed on either the "works" or "doesn't work" list. Anyone knows if it's compatible or not?
It's listed as "HP DVD-RAM UJ8B1 SATA CdRom Device" on device manager.

Try it. More often than not, a drive won't be compatible. Most dumping programs rely on exploiting the firmware, so it's a very hit-and-miss process even when you have a drive that's on the "works" list. You'll find out pretty soon once you try running RawDump or FriiDump on your computer.

Can I use other software to Dump like Ultraiso or Alcohol 120% ?

Nope. Those methods will work for PS1/PS2 games, but GC and Wii games are different beasts. RawDump and FriiDump work because they exploit the specific firmwares of certain drives, neither of which the two programs you listed will do.

Have anyone had any trouble with dumping The Legend of Zelda - Twilight Princess (GC)? I have a GDR-H10N, with the 0F03 firmware and I am using the RawDump 2.1.
When loading the drive, is displays an error message, something about arthmeritic, and then displays Wii disc found and then it is just stuck there. When testing with FriiDump 0.4, the same haooens, it is just stuck and doesn't do anything more.
EDIT: I was able to dump it after cleaning the disc. But for SSBB and other games, after switching to the H10N FriiDump won't dump any discs of any kind. It is just stuck at retrieving disc seeds, then it says failed, after about 1 minute or two, then it quits. Does anyone have any experience with this?
