What processor would be best for dolphin?

Core 2 Duo 2.8 Ghz or Core 2 Quad 2.33 Ghz?

I know that the OS will have 2 additional cores to handle another activities but I don't know if that will be the behavior in the other hand the 2 cores has more clock speed but shares the cores to run additional activities.

I have 2GB of RAM and 1024 nvidia video card.

Should I increase my memory or that is fine?

Sorry for my english.

That is easy to hunt some Intel owner for sure. Dissapointed, angry, flaming, frustrated... Tongue Lot of money and nothing works as it should specially when U look on the bil for hardware. But that is great news, which one U would choose for dolphin Phenom II X2 550 3.1GHz or Phenom II X3 720 2.8GHz both Black Editions?

Whichever one is better for overclocking... dunno look it up

cmccmc

buy Phenom II X3 720 2.8ghz and overclock it to 3.1

Veeeight

That is the kicker (or how I should say this if I would be american?), Phenom II X2 550 is X4 for real with 2 cores disabled and is much better for overclocking than X3 720. There is possibility to make X2 550 an X3 or even X4 if U're lucky but U know the other side (site?) X3 720 is 3 cores from the start...

Because after cold calculation I've found that for same money I'll get better performance from AMD than from Intel. And I've already ordered motherboard with AM3 socket Tongue.

Why would you buy a motherboard without knowing which cpu you are getting? -.-
