Hi, I am just wondering if Xenoblade Chronicles would work on the 2012 Mac Mini

Specs:
2.3GHz quad-core Intel Core i7 (Turbo Boost up to 3.3GHz) with 6MB L3 cache (Ivy Bridge)

Intel HD Graphics 4000

4GB of DDR3 1600MHz memory

BootCamp with Windows 7

Xenoblade Chronicles is the only Wii game I want to play. If the resolution is the same as on the Wii, I would be satisfied. I'm mostly wondering how it would perform, and if you tell me I'll able to up the resolution some, it would be just a bonus.

Thank you.
Your processor is too weak for this game
Xenoblade needs a higher clocked Sandy/Ivy Bridge CPU. You won't get fullspeed.

Ouch. Out of curiosity, what is the minimal clock it requires for my type of processor? What about Turbo Boost? And here I thought that i7, Ivy Bridge and Quad Core meant something and that the problem was going to be in the GPU...

*sigh*
This game is very demanding. A clock speed between 3.3-4.0GHz is recommended to be playable. Depends on the processor
An Intel Core i5-3570(k) @ clock speed should be able to handle Xenoblade @ fullspeed. And such powerful CPUs are not available for Macs (unfortunately)

I feel a little sad now, but thanks for all the help guys! Smile
You should try anyway. I can run Xenoblade Chronicles at full speed with my first gen i7 @ 3.6GHz, so a 3rd gen i7 @ 3.3GHz might cut it. Obviously not with LLE, but HLE should work pretty well most of the time in that game.
I second what delroth said. As long as turbo is working for you and you use hle the game should be playable. Expect slowdown at times but it should remain acceptable. The hd 4000 will not be able to bump up the resolution though.

OK thank you, you've given me hope!
