Do you get slowdowns where you didn't before? Does it happen the farther you're in the game? Give us more details.
Btw have you tried with other games?
EDIT: this apparently isn't a heat issue
Yes i am getting slow downs where i didn't before. This game has save points so when i reloaded my game i'm actually playing a part of the game i've played before without any problems. No i have not tried any other games yet.
i'll upload pics of all the settings i have changed in a sec so u can tell me what to change back to default.
here's my graphics configuration

i didn't change any other settings

oh well that was really stupid of me...i'm not very computer savvy but even i should have thought to open dolphin first lol.

it does seem to be gradually getting hotter. i still don't understand why that wasn't a problem before though :\

this is the hottest it's been and it seems to have stopped increasing in temp.
Ok well if those are while running dolphin there is a problem. Your cpu is running at ~1.4 Ghz its supposed to be running at 2+ Ghz, between 2.6 and 2.8 if turbo is working. If all was well 3 days ago it was probably running at the correct frequency; A 600+ MHZ drop would certainly be noticeable.
Edit: while running dolphin means actually running a game not having the emulator just sitting there doing nothing.

okay so what do i do about it?
Disable all the power saving and cpu throttling options in bios, I don't recommend this, and watch your temps like a hawk. Just to clarify first you where actually running a game in dolphin when you took those temps?

yes i was
Then your cpu is throttling/underclocking for some reason. What have you changed system wise recently? You are running on AC not battery? Windows power settings are set to high performance not save batter life?

umm i don't think i've changed anything. what settings should i look at?
You can use Throttlestop to control CPU clock speed
Tick the three options , set multiplier to any number (not turbo)-> Save and close -> Reopen Throttlestop
For Example :
Set multiplier = 28 . We have 28 x 99.78 = 2793.84MHz ~ 2.8GHz
Set multiplier = 25 . We have 28 x 99.78 = 2494.5MHz ~ 2.5GHz
You must have Inte Turbo Boost Monitor software installed to use Throttlestop

i might give that a shot, but i don't want to overclock it. i Just want to get the full 2.0 out of it.
You haven't answered these yet.

You could try setting processor affinity to only the first two cores. Google it if you don't know how.
